Job Description:

Duties & Functions of the Front Office Manager

The Front Office Manager’s on-going objective is to create and sustain a culture of guest service excellence in all components of front office operations.  Other highlights of the duties and functions of the Front Office Manager include

Provide on-going training to staff in guest service delivery, concierge services, PMS efficiency, emergency procedures and other related subjects. Maintain room inventory of all revenue lost through out of order rooms and/or maintenance problems. Have knowledge of front office and Hotel emergency procedures, and appropriate actions to take for such emergency situations. Ensure reviews of group resumes, Banquet Event Orders, and VIP arrivals by the front office staff to ensure seamless quality service. Partner with Housekeeping, Engineering and Accounting departments in the customary interactions required for guest service an department efficiency. Enforce adherence to PCI guidelines from front office staff, as well as protection of guest confidentiality

Magnolia’s Desired Qualifications for the Front Office Manager

Front Office Management experience in an upscale full service Hotel or Resort. Experience in applying sustainable training programs to front office personnel. Experience in cash/credit controls and compliance with statutory or contractual requirements such as PCI Guidelines. Experience in interviewing and selecting front office personnel.
